University College of Law at Punjab University is offering 5 years LLB (hons) program in Semester system. Remember that the 3 years LLB program has been abandoned by the college till December 2018. Now only 5 years LLB Honours program is in progress.

Admission Procedure in Punjab University Law College

Here is the admission procedure:

1. Entry Test (LAT)

First of all, you have to pass the Law Admission Test (LAT) which is held by HEC. The tests are held twice a year in February and in July every year. The registration for this test commences in January and in June every year. The result of this test is announced within a month after the test is conducted. To apply for this Entry Test, you have to fill online registration at the official website of HEC.

2. Apply for Admission at Law College

Next step is to apply for Admission at Punjab University Law College. The Law college gives an admission ad in newspapers for admission open. This is usually given at the end of September and admissions start from October 1 every year. You just go to the College, take perspective, fill the admission form, attach your documents, pay the fee and submit your form at the admissions counter.

3. Merit calculations

After the applications for admissions are closed, merit is calculated for every candidate to prepare a merit list for the admissions. The displays four merit lists eventually and the no. of seats are filled with most suitable candidates.

4. Display of Merit Lists

The merit lists are displayed according to the following schedule:

  • 1st list= 22 October
  • 2nd list= 25 October
  • 3rd list= 29 October 
  • 4th list= 31 October

5. Commencement of Classes

The new classes usually start in the 1st decade of November each year.

Who can take admissions in LLB Hons?

The students who have passed F.A, F.Sc, ICS, or equivalent qualification of 12 years of academic life are eligible to take admission.

1. Hafiz-e-Quran will get additional 20 marks in Merit
2. 30% of LAT test will be included
3. 25% marks of Matric
4. Total marks of Intermediate
5. Additional 25 marks for Intermediate with two elective subjects from Civics, Philosophy, History of Pakistan, English Literature.
